Barbican Theatre

Barbican Theatre is a performance venue within the Barbican Centre on Silk Street in the City of London. The theatre opened in 1982 and has 1,154 seats across four levels. Its programme includes theatre, dance and other live performances, with productions from UK and international artists. The theatre is part of the wider Barbican Centre, which also includes cinemas, galleries, a concert hall, restaurants, a library and the Barbican Conservatory. This makes it possible to combine a theatre visit with other activities at the centre. Barbican Theatre provides accessible seating and selected performances with services such as captioning, audio description and British Sign Language interpretation. Availability varies by production, so visitors should check the individual event information before booking. For current performances, ticket availability, access information and visitor details, check the Barbican's official programme before visiting.
